Privacy Policy

Who we are
DayFlare is made by Anton Dimitrov, a sole trader in Varna, Bulgaria (VAT BG181579150), who is the controller for the purposes of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Contact: support@dayflare.app.
What we collect
Nothing. DayFlare does not send your schedule, habits, work sessions, pay settings, photos, calendar events, health data or any identifier to us or to anyone else. We do not use analytics, advertising or crash-reporting services, and the app contains no third-party tracking code.
Where your data lives
- On your device. Your shifts, plan, habits, AI work sessions and settings are stored in a file inside the app on your iPhone, iPad, Mac or Apple Watch.
- In your iCloud, if you turn it on. A copy can be kept in your private iCloud Drive so your devices stay in step. That copy is stored by Apple under your Apple Account and Apple's Privacy Policy. We cannot read it.
- In Apple Calendar, if you turn it on. DayFlare writes your shifts and AI work sessions into two calendars it creates itself, so they reach your other devices and your Apple Watch. If your calendars sync through iCloud or another account (for example Google), that provider stores those events under its own terms.
Permissions, and what each one is used for
- Calendars. Read so the plan does not put sleep, meals or habits over your existing events; written only to the two DayFlare calendars. Your own events are never uploaded anywhere.
- Apple Health. Read only, sleep only, and only after you turn it on, to show how much you actually slept around your shifts. DayFlare never writes to Health. Health data is not used for advertising or marketing, is not shared with anyone and is not stored in iCloud by DayFlare.
- Photos. When you choose a photo of your work schedule, it is read on your device with Apple's Vision framework. The photo is not uploaded and not kept.
- Notifications. Reminders are scheduled locally on your device.
AI assistants
On the Mac, DayFlare includes a small local tool that lets an AI assistant you choose (for example Claude) read your plan and log work sessions, using the Model Context Protocol. The tool runs on your Mac and talks only to the assistant you connect it to. Whatever that assistant receives is handled under its provider's own terms and privacy policy, not ours. Nothing is connected unless you set it up.
Purchases
Subscriptions and purchases are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We receive no payment details. Apple may share anonymous, aggregated sales reports with us.
Children
DayFlare is not directed at children under 13 and collects no data from anyone.
Your rights
Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to access, correct or erase. You can delete everything yourself at any time: in the app (Me, Delete all data), by deleting the app, and by removing the DayFlare calendars and the iCloud copy. Under the GDPR you may also complain to a supervisory authority; in Bulgaria this is the Commission for Personal Data Protection (cpdp.bg).
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will appear on this page with a new effective date. If DayFlare ever starts collecting any data, this page will say so first.
